About the farmers
Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative
We sourced our delicious Light Roast from the Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperative Union (OCFCU) in Ethiopia. Ethiopian Arabica coffee is steeped in history. It was on the slopes of the Ethiopian Highlands that the first coffee was cultivated in the 16th century.
Sidamo coffee is grown at a high altitude in the nutrient-rich soils. These unique conditions create beans that are light on the tongue and have an acidic red cherry, fruity finish. The high altitude cultivation means the coffee grows slower, allowing it to absorb more vital nutrients and develop a robust flavour profile.
